SAT Tests Require outside Guidance for Best Test Scores

As the expression goes, knowing is half the battle, and for the SAT and ACT tests this could not be more true. The earlier your teen begins preparation for their standardized test, the more time they will have to acquire the test-taking strategies and skills necessary to achieve their highest possible score. As the following article describes, starting SAT or ACT test prep early allows students the highest range when it comes to actually choosing the college that they will eventually attend.

A Senior’s Thought: College Applications

The SAT test states before taking the test that the purpose of taking the test is to “determine whether or not a student is ready for college”. For some, standardized tests can be a breeze. But for others, including myself, the tests can be the stressful part of the application. Other than GPA, the test scores are the only way the school can see how someone performs academically. The fact that a single test will give colleges an overall view of how intelligent a student can be is a terrifying thought. A standardized test can either be easy for a college-bound student, or it can be a nightmare, only to detract from the person that you want to present in the application.
