I can’t count the number of times in my teaching career that I have seen very gifted and capable children denied the higher level of education that a private school has to offer. These childrens applications were declined all because of a bad entry exam score. But thats just the thing, there score was not bad at all! Private schools have a certain number of spots to fill so they only take the top 20-25% of test scores.

The number one reason children are declined by private schools every year is sheer competetion. In fact, 75-80% of all children who apply for competetive private schools are declined. In such a competitive market there has to be some way to get an edge over the other children. It’s as simple as this, the more prepared child will have better test results.

Preparation is important because it allows your child to see what the real test is going to be like so when its time for them to take it they know what to expect and can perform to the best of their abilities! If two children of equal an equal skill set took the same test obviously the child who prepared for the test and knew what to expect would get the higher grade.
