SSAT Registration for 2021-2022

SSAT registration for the 2021-2022 testing season (test dates between August 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022) will begin on August 1, 2021. Check back in late July for complete updates on test dates, availability, and other information. If you are interested in testing on August 1, 2021 or later, do NOT register until August 1, 2021.
The Paper-Based SSAT has been the trusted admission assessment for independent schools. This paper-based test is administered at test centers or by educational consultants. For each question, students use a pencil to fill in a circle for the answer they have chosen, and students also complete a writing sample in pencil.
Test administrators follow precise instructions for proctoring of the SSAT — which will continue even as we expand our testing to include two new computer-based SSAT options: the SSAT at Home and the SSAT at Prometric test centers.
The SSAT Board will continue to offer the paper-based SSAT for Flex tests. Elementary testing and Middle and Upper testing in select international markets will be supported by paper-based testing only for the 2021–2022 testing year. The paper-based Standard testing dates are below.

If you need to test immediately, depending on your location, testing options may include the SSAT Flex Test, testing at a Prometric test center, or taking the SSAT at Home.
